I am a passionate field scientist with years of experience carrying out research and programs in the field of epidemiology, public health, and mental health. I love to empower others with my own experiences and skills. Teaching is something I do naturally because I am able to connect with the students and make learning comfortable for them.
Teaching Method(s)
I believe teaching should be an experience, not just a transfer of information. Rather than relying on rigid, textbook-based methods, I use colours, visuals, and engaging slides to create an environment that captures attention and sparks curiosity. My goal is to leave a lasting impression, so I focus on helping learners truly understand concepts rather than simply memorising them. For subjects like science, I bring ideas to life through storytelling, real-life examples, and relatable situations. By connecting abstract concepts to everyday experiences, students are able to grasp ideas more naturally and retain them with ease. I adapt my explanations to suit different learning styles, ensuring that every student feels included and able to follow along. When it comes to mathematics, I take a collaborative and explorative approach. Instead of presenting just one method, I guide students through multiple ways of solving a problem, encouraging them to think critically and discover what works best for them. I work alongside them, step by step, so they never feel overwhelmed, isolated, or left behind. Overall, I aim to create a safe and engaging learning space where students feel supported, confident, and motivated to learn, turning even challenging subjects into meaningful and enjoyable experiences. I will always prioritise their mental wellbeing at all times because, as a field scientist working with children daily, I understand their challenges and struggles. Hence, I will be able to make learning comfortable and peaceful for them as well as guiding them towards calmness with various techniques when they get burnt out. In conclusion, teaching will not only be about the subject itself but also maintaining the child's mental wellbeing.
