My name is Ameer Hamzah, and I was previously known as Sir Ameer when I worked as a young tutor. This nickname was given by student as a friendly and respectful way to address me during lessons. I have approximately one year of teaching experience working with school students, along with an additional four months as a private tutor. During this time, I gained experience in guiding students through their studies, adapting my teaching approach to suit different learning styles, and helping them better understand key concepts. One of my greatest achievements is obtaining an A in Mathematics during my SPM. This accomplishment motivated me to further my studies in the field of engineering, where I successfully completed Mathematics for Engineers 1, 2, and 3. These experiences have strengthened my analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, which I apply when teaching students.
Teaching Method(s)
I apply a soft and friendly approach in my teaching so that students feel comfortable and confident to ask questions without hesitation. I also like to create interactive learning situations by incorporating activities such as short discussions, guided exercises, and real-life examples to make concepts easier to understand. In addition, I adapt my teaching style based on each student’s level and learning pace, while ensuring that the learning environment remains positive, engaging, and not overly stressful.
