Hello, I'm Naliah. I am currently in my final year pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) and I am expected to graduate this year. I have completed two teaching practicum sessions in primary schools, where I gained valuable experience. I have achieved a C1 level in the English proficiency exam (Edusynch). Throughout my teaching practicum, I have taught mixed proficiency pupils in both lower and upper primary levels (Tahap 1 and Tahap 2).
Teaching Method(s)
My teaching approach typically involves implementing gamification for hands-on learning and contextual learning, where I relate the teaching content to Malaysian settings to facilitate better understanding among pupils. I also employ a mastery learning strategy, ensuring that pupils have a thorough grasp of the current topic before progressing to the next one. I believe that both receptive skills (listening and reading) and productive skills (speaking and writing) are equally important and should be given due emphasis.
